Lots happening here today, to be shared in future posts.
This post is going to meander a lot, because of things popping up as I write it, and experiences today (actually, 1st May) too, but I will leave a trail of breadcrumbs to ensure I find my way back to the title ‘The Power of the Blood’.
I initially was planning just to write about a trip I had to Iceland in late June and early July 2017 (7/17), with the highlight being a 3-day trip up to the north of Iceland to stay at an old house sat alongside a fjord in a very remote location. But as I was thinking about that brief stay in that house additional memories appeared, which relate to the topic of the Power of the Blood (of Christ) of course. How many believers realise the tremendous literal supernatural power we have in our hands through our belief in the death and blood and resurrection of our Lord Yoshua (Jesus), and his ascension to heaven, where he sits today alongside our Father Yah? I suspect most don’t have the level of faith or understanding to either understand the power in his blood, or how to use it. So I will cover that today, with some actual examples, as well as some interesting matters from that brief stay by a fjord in Iceland (which I read recently was considered by the Romans to be part of the British isles).
The first interesting item is that I didn’t realise at the time I was in Iceland that my grandfather on my Dad’s side, Thomas, had previously visited this part of Iceland during WW2, when his ship, HMS Galatea, was stationed up there, and was involved in the hunt for the Bismark. I read about this online and sent some messages off to my Icelandic friend about it:
I referred at length to my grandfather in the post linked above (and here again), but also in this post, where I wad driven for 4 hours one night to calculate a number which when squared and cubed produced my grandfather’s service number. I had no idea what I was doing or why, but the drive was from God, and it resulted in two dates, as detailed in this post, and both dates will be highly significant.
Here is a map of the country, which shows where I stayed up north and the town Hvalfjordur, which we passed en route, and which I’d previously been flown over with my friend.
These posts reveal things to me (more accurately, our Father reveals things to me) as I am writing them you know. So, bear with me please, as I take a little detour to look at the meaning of the names of the two fjords, the one up north, and the one further south where my grandfather’s ship was docked for refuelling.
First, Steingrimsfjordur, up North. The ending of the word ‘fjordur’ simply means ‘fjord’ in Icelandic, so I looked at the meaning of Stein-grim. Stein simply means ‘stone’, with the further meaning as noted below (In Olde Englishe, before the Celts were over-run, we used the word Stan for stone):
Germanic name element meaning ‘stone’ which can be interpreted as ‘hard, strong, invulnerable’
Well, who do we know that is described as an invulnerable stone, so strong it is the ‘cornerstone’ of our faith?
Grim has two possible meanings:
Old Norse
grímr = ‘person wearing a face mask’ [1][2] grímr = ‘person wearing a face mask, helmet’ [3] gríma = ‘face mask’ [1][2][4] gríma = ‘face mask, helmet’ [3]
You may be thinking about all of the sad frightened people wearing face masks right now? And those of us with in our rock and stone, our God and Lord, who aren’t in the slightest bit worried (about anything). But is there a scriptural meaning to the Norse word ‘grim’ as in mask? Yes, of course there is, in Isaiah 25:7 (double 7 there you may notice 2+5 =7:
Is not the power of the blood and death of our Lord Yoshua (Jesus), amongst other things, the power of a stone, a corner-stone, rejected by the builders, that tore the curtain of the temple, the covering of the face of Yah, and will that same blood and death of our messiah also remove the ‘face covering that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations’? He will swallow up death forever. So, that Icelandic name is pretty cool don’t you think? Wait til I tell you what I encountered there in Iceland.
(Today is 1st May as I write, and I will not finish this post today, but as I walked today, I encountered exactly the same thing. And I have delayed by nearly 3 years in writing about my Icelandic adventure. I am once again in awe of the blessings our Father is able to bestow on us, it’s easy for Him to do these things, but wow, does He really know how to hit the spot to show His love and care for us with perfect timing. If we trust Him and give our lives to Him, the rewards in this life, as well as the next, are simply incredible, and I will share them with you over the next few weeks).
The other place name, the fjord where my grandfather’s ship was berthed for refueling is called Hvalfjordur, here is what I found out about the place, and the origins of its name (Hvalf), with yet more amazing scriptural and personal connections:
Where do I start? Whale-beaching I think, which in Icelandic is the word ‘hvalreki’, which means literally both ‘whale beaching’ AND ‘windfall/godsend’. Heh, manna from heaven springs to mind, and when you know what I know, you will see why manna didn’t come from the skies, that may be what you think, but it came from heaven, in the dew, and it melted away in the heat of the sun too, ponder that, perhaps go and check the scripture. I wonder if this fjord was blessed with manna at some point in the distant past too? Your world will be turned upside down (lol) when I reveal what I have been shown. I am pretty sure that those who trust Yah and seek to obey Him in the decade ahead will at some point be blessed with manna and other foods direct from our Father, He won’t see us suffer during the famine.
To continue, ‘hvalreki’ quite obviously translates into the English name Alfred, and that took me all the way back to my very first post at my blog, on 4th May 2018, when I alluded to the Great man, King Alfred, who set up English law using Torah. That’s the way to Greatness you know, follow in the footsteps of our creator God, Yehovah (bless Him), and use His framework.
The two syllables are ‘hall’, which means ‘flat stone/rock’ and ‘frid’, which means peace/protector. So a stone that brings peace and protection. Well, isn’t that just another way of describing Yah and His son, our Lord, and the power of his blood and death and resurrection? And also a way to describe what Alfred the Great brought to Britain, a rock of faith and the blessings of its peace and protection (Deut 28 and Lev 26)? Hard to argue otherwise, let alone considering the ‘godsend’ aspect of the name.
It’s hard to adequately describe how I felt when I found out that my grandfather had spent time up in Iceland during the war, and that I had passed through (and flown over) the very fjord where his ship HMS Galatea was based. It was very moving to know this, as I have always felt very sad to have not known him, and very sad that he died at such a young age, only 32 years old, the same age as our Lord Yoshua was, another strange but true coincidence. The name Galatea means ‘white as milk’ by the way. Guess how many references there are in scripture to ‘white as milk’? Just one, and it describes…the mysterious Shiloh mentioned just once, in Genesis….49 (7×7, you can’t make this up can you?):
There as been much conjecture about who ‘Shiloh’ mentioned in these verses could be. I’ll confess I am only considering it now for the very first time, so let’s see if our Father reveals something to me. (End of May 1st, and time for bed).
He did reveal something to me whilst I was dozing in bed this morning, and I’ve noted it down for a future post. In fact, I have noted down an awful lot today, it’s been a good day, which included a nudge off my usual walking route to a secluded spot where I able to watch a baby little deer grazing for 15 minutes, just the two of us (Yah was there, and the nudge He gave me was repeated when I said my thanks for the blessing of that experience. He is so kind and polite too).
Gosh, where are those bread-crumbs, I need to find my way back to the tracks of this post!
So, I have covered the name of the two places in Iceland that mean something to me. Now let me tell you about just a few of the experiences I had up alongside that fjord. In fact, let me show you, with some photos and videos. It was fantastic, I saw whales, seals, birds, and had a great encounter with a lamb too:
We arrived late one night, around 23:00, but as it was early July, it never got dark (being so far north), and I was blessed immediately with a seal sighting, even before we’d reached the house:
As you can see from the photos, this place was very serene and beautiful, with only bird song to be heard, and whales out in the fjord. Here are a few more videos, including a close encounter with the lamb that I had been talking to since I arrived there (yes, I don’t speak Icelandic, but I do speak lambic):
This lamb was pure white as you can see, unlike English lambs which have black faces. Because I’d been there for a couple of days, and was talking to him and his mother whilst I was outside watching the whales, seals and birds, he became curious as you can see, and walked up toward me. What I don’t have on video is the moment just ten minutes later when I was reclined on the grassy bank and the lamb came right up to me, sniffed my coat and my jeans and then wandered away again. It was a special moment for an animal lover, but I’ll be honest, at the time I didn’t attach any significance to it in terms of my relatively new faith. But I do now, for obvious reasons, and no doubt you do too. Here are just a few verses of scripture, starting with Daniel 7:9:
These are they who have not been defiled with women; for they are pure, these following the Lamb wherever He shall go. These have been redeemed out from men as firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.
So, the significance of this lamb encounter has just magnified for me, praise the Lord for these signs.
Now, let me show you a video of the house itself and its garden, and keep your eyes open for something quite unusual in the garden toward the end of the clip:
Did you see them? Two crosses in the garden, a little bit odd I thought at the time. Apparently they were for drying clothes, and whilst that makes sense, I saw another meaning, a nice little sign to me from our Father.
We were only in this house for 3 days, and on the first night we were cooking some food on the electric hobs, each hob was a concentric metal ring. Because it was so old and my friend wasn’t sure exactly how to turn the rings on, we weren’t sure if it was working, there was no apparent sign of heat, normally these metal rings would turn red. I then did something very stupid I pressed my fingers down onto what I thought was a stone cold ring, only to find it was burning hot. It was so painful, because I thought it was cold I didn’t just tough it lightly, but I pressed down onto it and then pulled the fingers away as quick as I could, feeling terrible pain.
I ran my hand under cold water, but it continued to sting badly, throbbing with pain, it was awful. We ate our meal, it was around midnight by now as we’d arrived late, and then we went to bed. I was in the downstairs bedroom, which had a decent bed, but thin curtains, and it wasn’t ever dark there, so I wondered how well I would sleep.
As I lay in bed, the fingers on my right hand were still really painful and throbbing, even though I had taken two paracetamol tablets.
I then did something, for the first time, which was a manifestation of the ‘Power of the Blood’, although I didn’t realise it at the time. I lay there in bed in pain, and I thought to myself: ‘there’s no way that I am having a sleepless night and ruining the next day because of this terrible pain’.
So I concentrated on the fingers and I made the pain stop. And it stopped, and I went to sleep and slept normally until 7am or so. The pain didn’t return, although there was redness for a couple of days, and then a week or two later the skin flaked off my fnigers, in a concentric pattern. At the time, the morning after the injury I do remember feeling confused at how I was able to stop the pain simply by willpower. I didn’t realise at the time I was already using The Power of The Blood, but my faith was already rock solid by this point, I was just two months away from baptism, so I have no doubt that God watched me burn myself, and intervened to cause the pain to stop, in fact it’s possible He may have even ‘injected the thought’ into my head that night that I could stop the pain, as I can’t really fathom (heh, He’ll like that one) how I even came up with the notion I could stop pain?
Now, the Power of The Blood is simply the power to overcome physical constraints by use of the supernatural powers we believers have through our faith in God and belief of His son Yoshua (Jesus) shedding his precious blood and dying on the cross for His Father, a sacrifice for the sins of the whole of humanity. Have you ever done this yourself? Or do you rush off to the doctors instead, oh ye of little faith? Let’s look at what Jesus had to say about self-healing, speaking to his neighbours in Nazareth:
‘Jesus said to them, “Surely you will quote this proverb to Me: ‘Physician, heal yourself! Do here in Your hometown what we have heard that You did in Capernaum.’”
The next few verses are really interesting too, but off-topic for this post.
So, I have searched for this proverb in scripture, expecting to find in in the Book of Proverbs, but I couldn’t find it? Is it there, have you read it? If so, please let me know, I can find scripture concerning God healing Zion, but nothing at all about self-healing.
I now do it all of the time. I was walking a few days ago, on the moor, rough terrain, quite a long walk, and my right heel began to get sore. So I stopped walking and stood still and just concentrated on the heel, and then started walking again, knowing it would be loose and with no pain again, and it was. At various times in the past couple of weeks I have been able to ease the tightness in various muscles from poor posture using the same method. In recent years I have been able to stop a headcold in its tracks too, making a blocked nose and scratchy throat just vanish. It’s a very strange feeling to experience, as a blocked nose just dries up in c.20 seconds and is then clear. I have zero expectations of ever getting any serious illness, because that just doesn’t happen to God’s righteous people, only to the bad guys. Can you think of a single story in scripture of one of the prophets or the disciples or apostles becoming ill and needing medical attention? I don’t think there is one.
On the contrary, King Asa, who was a mostly righteous King, doing what was right in the sight of God, eventually messed up and went against Yah’s will, and had a cautionary visit from Hanani the seer, as noted below from 2 Chronicles 16:
At that time Hanani the seer came to King Asa of Judah and told him, “Because you have relied on the king of Aram and not on the LORD your God, the army of the king of Aram has escaped from your hand. 8Were not the Cushitesand Libyans a vast army with many chariots and horsemen? Yet because you relied on the LORD, He delivered them into your hand. 9For the eyes of the LORD roam to and fro over all the earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is fully devoted to Him. You have acted foolishly in this matter. From now on, therefore, you will be at war.”
If we believers were to be more aware of the bolded section above, we really could save ourselves from any troubles in this world, a world we’re in, but not from. If we simply trust God and our hearts are devoted to Him we would live glorious lives, with blessings galore. I am starting to receive them daily now, and I’ll share a couple as this epic post draws to a close.
Poor King Asa reacted badly to the words of God (delivered through God’s seer):
‘Asa was angry with the seer and became so enraged over this matter that he put the man in prison. And at the same time Asa oppressed some of the people’
‘In the thirty-ninth year of his reign, Asa became diseased in his feet, and his malady became increasingly severe. Yet even in his illness he did not seek the LORD, but only the physicians. 13So in the forty-first year of his reign, Asa died and rested with his fathers’.
What a shame, he was a good King for most of his reign, God was pleased with him, then he failed to trust God AND got angry when chastised, so Yah hit him with a foot problem which eventually killed him after two years of suffering.
Please note that we read ‘yet even in his illness he did not seek the Lord, but only the physicians’. Can you imagine how that makes God feel? I will tell you: really upset and sad. He wants people to trust Him and obey Him, nothing more. He always eases His curses if people or nations truly repent, we see that all through scripture, but if people behave like Asa, God turns His back on them, as they have turned their back on Him.
And this is why I get peeved on twitter at believers asking for prayers for them and their friends as they undergo illnesses and treatments for disease, always seeking the physicians. Sorry folks, those prayers will not be answered, because you’re not trusting God at all. By contrast, I found a twitter user, a middle-aged woman, who got cancer and decided to heal it with faith, not medicine. Her pinned tweet had the initial story, I think it was from 2016. Guess what? She was healed, with no medical involvement whatsoever. A miracle? You could call it that, same as with my burnt fingers and muscle/heel soreness. But if you really have rock solid faith and trust in God, you won’t get ill in the first place, ever.
It was a beautiful place, and it was so relaxing to sit in a naturally heated springwater well of heated natural pure water, on the rocks. And then to relax in the pool too, such glorious views of the countryside all around.
Now, up above the spring pool was another similar pool that has a fascinating story to it, and I only really became fully aware of it upon my return to England and did some research, but my Icelandic friend had mentioned that the waters were supposed to have healing properties when we were there:
‘Gvendarlaug Natural Thermal Pool is a small, natural bathing pool, also located near Hotel Laugarhóll. The water was apparently blessed by Bishop Guðmundur Góði Arason in the 1200s and is reputed to have healing properties. Currently, no one is allowed to bathe in this pool as it is a protected monument. If you’d like a dip, you can head to the swimming pool at Hotel Laugarhóll, the water there is channelled from Gvendarlaug pool.’
The Bishop’s name means ‘man of God’ ‘good’ ‘son of a lion’ ( Latin spelling of the Hebrew name אֲרִי (Ariy) = ‘lion’). The lion is Judah of course. Son of Judah, man of God, and good. It’s a cool name to be sure.
So, I was bathing literally in holy blessed water in the well down below and in the swimming pool. So, that’s another strange but true blessing to this trip up to the north of Iceland. But there’s more.
I decided to check what the name ‘Gvendarlaug’ meant, as I have come to realise names and places have meanings and there are no coincidences when God’s plans are coming to fruition. So, this place name has four elements:
Gven
d
ar
laug
The ‘d’ simply means ‘of’ as in the French vernacular.
Are you ready for the rest, because it really is quite amazing. We’ll start with Gven, which is a derivative of the Welsh Gwen (reminder that I am of Welsh blood):
I’ll summarise at the end. Next we’ll look at ‘ar’.
Finally we’ll look at ‘laug’.
You may have beaten me to it, but here’s the meaning:
HOLY YEAR (of) MARRIAGE/OATH/DEDICATION
So, I am taken to a spot in the middle of nowhere in the north of Iceland, a lovely old house with two crosses in the garden. I get sniffed by a pure white lamb. I bathe in literal holy water. At a place that is named ‘Holy year of dedication’ just two months before I am baptised in the Welsh Sea. This place was named over 800 years ago. I met my Icelandic friend by chance through his youtube videos. These matters are also a part of The Power of The Blood, the hand of God moving upon the earth over hundreds and hundreds of years to build His plans, in which I am thrilled and honoured to have been assigned a key role, as His messenger, His ‘sun of righteousness’ preparing the way for the return of our Lord Yoshua (Jesus).
That’s it for the Icelandic part of this epic post, although a magical echo was heard by me on 1st May when I started writing this post, having delayed in telling this story for nearly 3 years remember. The echo happened as I went for my daily walk on a fresh but sunny afternoon, two days ago. I had intended to follow my usual route, a short walk of a couple of miles, but as I reached the top of the hill, I heard and then saw two buzzards hovering in the other direction, so I thought to myself ‘OK, take the sign, go that way’. I walked along the path and came to an open gate which allowed me to enter an open field which was alongside another field full of the cutest lambs and sheep I have ever seen. You will see why they are so cute, and what transpired there in this clip:
So, on the day I am writing about my lamb experience, I have an even better sheep experience! She was so friendly and lovely, we literally touched noses, and she loved being petted, her eyes closing, like a cat purring. The little black lambs, how cute were they? All lambs are cute, but I have never seen lambs that colour, with little white ankles too. So, I give thanks to God for arranging that meeting two days ago, He knows how to bless me, as He knows I love animals so much.
This is another example of the Power of The Blood too. If you devote yourself to God, He will mightily bless you in the ways that you desire. Look at the Kings in scripture, like Solomon and David, and Job, and Noah and the prophets. All of these people were 100% righteous and faithful, they came to know Yah personally. Many think that they’re unique in some way, and wonder why they aren’t similarly blessed? All I can say is that my experience has revealed that the more I came to trust God, starting with fearing Him, leading through to desiring His wisdom, on to learning about and loving (agape) His will as expressed in His laws, commands and statutes, and finally to dedicating my life to Him, that’s when the blessings really start to flow, on a daily basis. I will share some more in the weeks and years ahead, and hope to meet you all as I travel the world preaching and teaching SCRIPTURE and GOD’s WORD. I do not have a doctrine of my own, I just love His Word.
The final part of this post is a blessing from our Father for you, my readers. Some evidence of the Power of The Blood, to help your faith to grow. Before I share it, let’s look at what our Lord had to say on the powers we are given via our faith:
‘And these signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;d18they will pick up snakes with their hands, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not harm them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will be made well.”
The Power of Faith
19Afterward the disciples came to Jesus privately and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”
20“Because you have so little faith,” He answered. “For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
I have yet to heal someone by laying on hands, but I know that I can do so, and will do so once this lockdown is over, it will work on those of faith, and it will help to prove I am His messenger.
I have cast out demons, twice, once in a face-to-face situation, and once from c.8 miles away. It was easy. I have not tried to move a mountain. I can order flies to leave my house and they do so instantly, once a window is open, out they go.
On 1st May, as I had just started to write this post, I did something else through the Power of The Blood of our Lord. From a distance of c.300-400 yards I silenced a tree full of squawking crows and ravens, filthy carrion eating birds. Some friends and family that I have shared the video with have responded with varying degrees of cognitive dissonance, ignoring the fact, even denying it, but please watch the video yourself, it takes a little while for the silence to arrive, and I will note some additonal points below, and you may choose to watch the video again:
I recommend watching the video at least 3 times. You will hear how loud they are at the start. Then you will notice how the wind picks up and a blackbird starts to sing as I am focussing on my faith in the Power of The Lord’s Blood, then the crows slowly but surely stop their squawking, and at the 1:18 mark the sun appears and the last couple of quiet squawks are heard, and then a blissful silence. It’s easy to do, I had done this before whilst sunbathing in my backyard, and the crows kept flying over to annoy me (sent by their father of course), but each time one appeared I would use the thought of the Power of The Blood of Our Lord to silence them, and it was very amusing, as some would simply immediately become dumb, whilst others would attempt to keep squawking, but each squak would become more of a squeak, until no sound appeared. Doing a whole tree full from distance felt a bit harder, but that’s because it’s a new power to me, and I need to gain confidence with it, and also, I don’t want to waste it on frivilous things like this really. But this video is for you, and I’ll be interested to hear of your experiences, have you used The Power to cure someone, or to cast out demons, or to bless someone? I hope I am not alone in this regard?
You will also notice in the video that there are lots of fine white dandelion seeds in the air, that was the first day they appeared, on the first day after my 40 days and nights up on this hill with God, and what a 40 days it has been, and I look forward to sharing most of that with you in due course.
As always, in case it isn’t clear in the long post, I claim no credit for these happenings, for my role, for the blessings, the Power, it’s all due to Yehovah God’s unlimited power, and the power of the sacrificial blood and resurrection of His only-begotten son, and my only part of it is in accepting my new-found faith and going with it and being delighted to dive head-first into the depths of the deep waters of their love for me, never wanting to come back up for air. It’s great being with them like this, a taste of heaven on earth for me, and it’s there for the taking for all of us, you just have to trust Them, submit to God’s will, and fear nothing BUT God, and let Him show you His powers and His blessings. Really, if you do, your life will be perfect, you will live in a perfect way, as does our Father, as did Our Lord Jesus.
What’s stopping you? Fear, lack of faith, loving the material aspect of this world too much, including friends and family? Your pastor, your church, its traditions and lies?
None of that has stopped me, I have tackled all of them, and just pushed through the barriers. If I can do it, 49 years an unbeliever and a wretched sinner too, and full of self-righteousness and pride, you can do it too, so JUST DO IT, I pray you will, in the name and the blood of the Lord, I pray. Amen.
I will close with a blessing for our Father and our Lord:
Heavenly Father, may You be blessed by my faith, and by the joy I gain from serving You and from enjoying the powers You give me and the blessings You shower me with every moment of every day. May You be blessed by my mission, and see millions of people baptised as babes into Your waiting arms, and may the elders and the wise who don’t really know You too well, may they bless You by removing the scales of delusions from their eyes and seeing and doing Your Will. May our Lord be blessed soon by the whole world seeing His triumphant return to earth, in power and glory, defeating the evil ones and ushering in a thousand years of His blissful reign. I bless you both. Amen.
(If anyone spots a typo, please let me know, and be blessed in a growing faith in your lives).
That’s two full years of writing at this blog, it’s been a great experience living those two years and I have enjoyed sharing it all here, thanks for reading. Watch out the next two years, Yehovah’s full power is with me now, we will go global, front page news here we come, all for His glory.

Even though I say so myself, wasn’t it cool how our Father brought the sun out and got the song birds singing just as I stopped the crows squawking. He’s a powerful God for sure.
