And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee.

This is a post about my nation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and in particular covers the attempts by this nation to exit the European Union, something more often referred to as ‘Brexit’. It also serves as a warning to my neighbours for what lies ahead for these lands, and indeed for the whole world. Ignore my warnings at your peril.

As the past few months have seen our government and our parliament become ever-more impotent and disorganised in its attempts to actually leave the EU, the rest of the world has become more and more astonished at the fiasco that is unfolding.

It shouldn’t surprise Christians in the UK, or overseas though, as Britain has turned away from Jehovah and His laws almost completely now, and so the ‘Curses of Disobedience’ section of Deuteronomy 28 are now in force, and this is just the start.

I recently wrote a comment online at a political blog, in an effort to warn my fellow countrymen of the dangers that lie ahead due to our disobedience, here is the comment, which I also shared to my Twitter followers:

 ‘A general warning to fellow Brits, also applies to America and any other formerly obedient Christian nation: We never have had freedom and never will have it. The idea of freedom is itself a desire for liberalism, hence it is incoherent. We did once however choose the perfect authority figure and His laws.

His name is Jehovah, and Alfred the Great loved His laws, commands and statutes, and set England up on the basis of God’s laws. If you do that, your nation will be blessed, and so we were blessed.

We were a tiny little island with nothing going for it at all,  and gradually we became a great Christian Empire, spreading its unique civilisation across the planet. Then, gradually, and then in a hurry these past 80 years, we ditched Jehovah, and ditched His laws,

So now we reap His promised curses, see Deuteronomy 28. Also, Psalms 2 is very apt at this time, as Britain’s leaders are a laughing stock. So, will we ever repent, or will we be a perpetual third-world accursed nation, like the once mighty Egypt, whose Pharaoh decided to do battle with Jehovah? Choose your authority, choose men, and reap the evil and slaughter, choose Jehovah and be blessed. The next 50 years at least here will see war, famine, disease, democide, and more besides. As a watchman, I warn you all now.’

I had two responses to my warning on the political blog, with the first saying simply ‘Begone Jesusfreak’, and the second was a comment related to a plague of frogs. No one else commented, although I suspect several hundred might have read the comment.

I expected no different. My nation is now totally doomed, it has been judged by Jehovah and found guilty and can now expect to suffer for a very long time, perhaps in perpetuity like Egypt. I mentioned Psalm 2 above, so I’ll share that with you, as it’s a cracking chapter:

‘The Triumphant Messiah

(Acts 4:23-31)

1Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

3Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

 

4He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

5Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

6Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

7I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

8Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

10Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.’

The current rulers of the European nations are not Kings, but are politicians, bureaucrats and those who slither around in the background, the puppeteers. All of them deny the Authority of Jehovah, all of them covet the whole world, and seek to turn humanity towards worshiping false gods, often other puny humans, or other lesser gods or demons. Either way, rest assured that Jehovah sits on His throne in heaven and literally laughs at their silly machinations and plans. At this time, I am sure He is finding the contortions in the British parliament over Brexit especially hilarious.

As an English-born man of Celtic (Welsh) descent, I really do want to see my nation leave the European Union, but I have to acknowledge that even if this were to happen, my nation is not going to escape the wrath of Jehovah. It’s very possible we will stay within the EU, as Deuteronomy explains we will lose the ability to rule ourselves, but will instead serve our enemies:

’45Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee: 46And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.

47Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; 48Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.’

Remember, the European Union is an organisation devoid of any reference to Jehovah whatsoever. They hate Him and His ways, and so they hate Britain, as we used to be loyal and obedient to Him. They think us foolish, and think themselves very wise. Well, time will prove all things, and surely we will witness the demise of the European Union, and much more besides, in the decades ahead, as Jehovah turns His attention to judging the whole world, which is now bereft of a faithful and obedient nation.

For now though, Britain is a laughing stock the world over. We have a Queen who is old, frail, and of German descent, an impostor, who has failed to stand up for Jehovah through her long reign. She has much to answer for, a cowardly and useless monarch. 

We have an old female childless Prime Minister who is unable to even maintain control over her own party, let alone the House of Commons, and has no credibility in the nation whatsoever, whether one wants to leave the EU, or remain, she is viewed universally as a failure, as a weak woman, and as a liar and a cheat. The same can be said for the leader of the opposition, who is also betraying his party’s voters’ desire to leave the EU, as promised in their party manifesto. We have power-mad members of parliament, including the Speaker of the House of Commons, grabbing for power as the exit process is frustrated at every turn.

The people of Britain, the voters, are indeed becoming sorely vexed now. Some of them want us to leave, some of them want us to stay in the EU, but not many of them care about obeying the laws, commands and statutes of Jehovah, nor are grateful that He sent His Son to die for our sins, and are largely ignorant of the foundations of modern Britain, thanks to the great faith and efforts of Alfred the Great some 1200 years ago, which saw him model our system on that of the Laws God gave to Moses all those years ago. We were blessed for nearly 1200 years, before the evils of the two great world wars took so many innocent lives.

I despair for our nation, I hate that it has fallen away from the perfect set of laws and commands, fallen away from loving Jehovah and our people show so few signs now of loving one’s neighbour either, and is now full of people who think they know (via democracy) how to run a nation. The mention of these matters to people these days (online or in real life) leads to responses of bemused ignorance, vitriol, or most often just a nonchalance and confidence in their own wisdom and counsel. It’s pathetic, and the Church in Britain is similarly fallen, not even bothering to observe the weekly Sabbath.

As I mentioned earlier, this is just the beginning of the tribulations for Britain, there is much worse to follow, please just have a read of Deuteronomy 28 for the details.

In closing, if you are a Briton who sees what I see, do not fear, and do not mourn the fall of our nation. The future is bright for those of us who are both obedient and fear Jehovah, as we will be victorious, one way or another, perhaps not in this life, but in the eternity that follows. Do all you can to warn people that the days before our planet’s judgement are few, and help them prepare to face the Lord upon His glorious and triumphant return. Jehovah will not permit satan to turn the whole world away from Him, and we’re as good as at that point already, hence my feeling that we have mush less time left than many imagine. I have to say, I feel such sorrow and anger at the state of the world these days, that the day we see Jesus return cannot come soon enough for me, and indeed for the whole of humanity, including our ancestors. Satan will think he has it all sewn up, and then The Lord Jesus will return and all will kneel before Him, most will perish, and a few will be saved, as he ushers in a Golden Era of His rule.
